Stuart Ballard, President
An avid outdoorsman since childhood, Stuart is a very experienced offshore fisherman with numerous tournament wins to his credit. A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Biology, Stuarts' professional career started as laboratory manager for the Belle W. Baruch Institute for Marine Science and Coastal Research at Hobcaw Barony in Georgetown. Always concerned with the state of the natural world, he has served on the Habitat and Environmental Protection Advisory panel of the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, and Marine Recreational Fisheries Advisory Board and has been along term benefactor of the Recreational Fishing Alliance and other conservation organizations. Stuart and his father Gerald started Tailwalker Marine, Inc. in 1978. A lifetime of "on the water" experience provides Stuart with the knowledge to help you with your boating needs. |

Brent Ballard, Vice President
Brent's first boating experience started at the age of three months while accompanying his parents on an oyster gathering trip. He has been living on the water ever since. In fact, all of his employment activities have been water oriented starting as a dock hand at the local marina, as a mate on an offshore head boat out of Murrells Inlet and mate on a tug boat in Georgetown prior to joining Tailwalker Marine, Inc. An accomplished inshore and offshore angler as well as tournament winner, Brent is also an avid hunter. The wide variety of boating experience he has achieved enables Brent to help you make the best buying decision for your individual needs, whether fishing or hunting. |

Captain Fred Rourk, Boat Sales
In addition to being a licensed captain, Fred is an accomplished inshore and offshore fisherman. Having grown up in the Beaufort, Hilton Head, Port Royal Sound area, he cut his teeth fishing for Red Drum, Flounder and Winter Trout. Fred also has extensive experience King Mackerel fishing at both the SKA division and Pro levels. Not only can Fred put you in the right boat for your needs, he can also help you select the right tackle and gear. |
